In Irpin and Romanicka, Mobile Communication Was Restored with the Help of Starlink

In the liberated city of Irpin, after several weeks of fighting, mobile communication was restored. This was done with the help of Starlink satellite internet equipment. This was announced by Vodafone spokeswoman Victoria Ruban.
According to her, for the first time in the history of Ukraine and one of the first in the world, the work of a part of the mobile operator’s network was organized with the help of Starlink satellite technologies.
“We launched a base near Irpin and Romanivka in 2G and 4G configurations, which uses SpaceX’s Starlink kit as a transport network. It is now possible to ensure the smooth operation of this segment of the network even in the absence of Internet access through a traditional underground transport network. This scheme allows you to quickly restore mobile communications the communications are damaged”, she said.
