A Resident of Bucha District Pretended to Be a Monk and Consecrated the Equipment of the Occupiers

A resident of a village in the Bucha district, who had previously been prosecuted for molesting minors, cooperated with the Russian military during the occupation. This was reported in the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

“The suspect provided the occupiers with housing and food. He also informed the enemy about the residence of wealthy citizens whose homes were looted by the aggressor military. In addition, the man introduced himself as a monk and consecrated enemy equipment and performed the rites of baptism of the Russian military”, the OPGU said.

The prosecutor’s office noted that the village of Andriyivka in the Makariv United Territorial Community suffered the most, and the occupiers destroyed more than 60% of the village’s infrastructure.

Law enforcement officers informed the defendant about the suspicion of collaboration (Part 4, Part 6 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He was remanded in custody.

We will remind, in Makariv every second house is destroyed, practically there are no inhabitants.
