Oleksandr Markushyn: We Have an Area Where 50,000 m2 Of Social Housing Can Be Built

According to the UN, Irpin has suffered by 71%, it will take a long time to rebuild the infrastructure, but the mayor Oleksandr Markushyn assures that the city has an area where it is possible to build temporary social housing. The Irpin mayor told about it on air of the Ukrainian telethon.

“We have an area where you can build 50 thousand square meters of social housing. This is the housing where people will be able to move quickly and live there for a year until they build permanent housing”, said Oleksandr Markushyn.

He added that they have already held a number of meetings on housing in Irpin. “We have already held a meeting with the governor of Kyiv region, and negotiations are underway with friendly countries to provide Irpin with modular buildings. If Germany, Poland or the Czech Republic provide us with this housing, it will be built very quickly and people will be able to move there to live”, the mayor of Irpin concluded.
