Architects Have Developed a Project of the Passenger Terminal “Mriya” in Gostomel
The architects developed the Conceptual Design of the ‘Mriya’ passenger terminal in Gostomel. “Crew Shop” writes about this.
It is reported that “it can be a powerful counterweight to Boryspil airport, and will provide an opportunity to liberate the capital from ‘Kyiv’ airport, giving the vacated areas for housing.”
“The “Mriya” passenger terminal in the hero city of Gostomel is a look into the future! The project will provide great prospects for the development of the capital and suburbs. This is a powerful counterweight to Boryspil Airport, and an opportunity to liberate the capital from Kyiv Airport, giving the liberated territories for the development of the capital”, writes architect Oksana Oksyukovska, who developed the concept with the support of KNUBA Faculty of Architecture.
The project proposes:
- Arrangement of access roads from Kyiv to Gostomel and the airport;
- Arrangement of the second runway, which was designed by Kyiv ZNIIEP;
- Organization of the terminal on the basis of two runways, with the possibility of expanding to a large transport hub;
- Arrangement of a separate place for the memorial of the aircraft “Mriya”.
