Polish Language Courses For Ukrainians Have Started in the Polish City of Pisz: Residents of Irpin are Enrolled
Polish language courses have been launched in the Polish sister city of Pisz for Ukrainians forced to stay there due to the war, including residents of the Irpin community. This was announced by the head of the Department of Culture, Nationalities and Religions of the Irpin City Council Yevhenia Antonyuk on her Facebook page.
“I had the opportunity at this event to talk about the destruction inflicted on our city and the inability of some Irpin residents to return to their destroyed homes in the near future. That is why those who still have to stay in Poland to be able to live and work, easily communicate with others, should spend time learning the Polish language. We thank our fellow Peers for this opportunity. At the same time, in order for our Ukrainians to be able to use their native language and read it (this is especially important for children), we brought 280 books in Ukrainian to Pisz, 60% of which are for children. The books were handed over to one of the city’s schools and the library”, Antonyuk wrote.
It will be recalled that the Polish city of Pisz has hosted more than 300 Ukrainians, including 80 residents of our community.
