The Wreckage of a Russian Plane From Irpin Added to the Exposition of the Kyiv Museum
On the eve of the Day of Victory over Nazism in World War II, the stock collection of the National Military History Museum of Ukraine was replenished with the tail of a Russian vulture, namely the SU-25SM attack aircraft shot down by the Ukrainian military in Irpin. This was reported on the Museum’s Facebook page.
“Perhaps it was the one who struck at the residential areas of Irpin and the Irpin military hospital. If it weren’t for that, but a well-aimed shot by a Ukrainian soldier interrupted the flight of the enemy “rook” forever, thus canceling the “victorious spring” for the Russian aggressor!” – it is said in the message of the museum.
According to a journalistic investigation, the Russian SU-25SM attack aircraft, like dozens of other aircraft, was overturned from the air base Chernihivka “Vitryak” (Russia, Primorsky Krai, Far East) on the eve of the “Allied Determination 2022” exercise, namely to the airfield Luninets, located in the Brest region.
It was from the airfield of our neighbor, and now co-aggressor, that Russian pilots inflicted insidious blows on peaceful towns and villages of Ukraine, sowing death, injuries and destruction. Apparently, it was from Luninets, located 32 km from the Ukrainian-Belarusian border in early March 2022, that the Russian SU-25SM with registration number RF-91961 from the 18th Assault Regiment made its last flight.
Also, the museum’s Facebook page published a request to collect and pass on to us things that will become exhibits about this brutal war with the Russian invaders.
Urgent, important and verified reports on the Russian-Ukrainian war and other events in the city and Irpin region can be found on our Facebook page and in the Telegram channel.
