The Mayor of Irpin Cried Once During 40 Days of War: the Reasons
Irpin Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn cried only once during the 40 days of the war. He told journalist Yanina Sokolova about the reasons for such emotions for her program “Rendezvous”.
“Today, the mayor of Irpin, Oleksandr Markushyn, told me that he cried only once: when a girl, her mother and a volunteer were shot dead in front of him during a humanitarian corridor. All three died before his eyes. Two hundred more died under the rubble, basements, after rapes and injuries”, said Yanina Sokolova.
The journalist stated that she would do everything in her power to make Russians hated all over the world and to make Ukrainians prosper. “I do not ask for what. I know why I will do my best to make this nation of non-humans hated everywhere. Wherever they appear. That there were people and there were Russians. As a kind of shameful monster with human physiology. And I will do my best to rebuild everything and help it flourish with new colors. I’m not just about houses. I’m about the nation. We’ll rebuild it to the end”, she emphasized.
Yanina Sokolova believes that Ukrainians know how to forgive and urges not to do so in any case. “Our memory is often short. Time passes and we forgive. I will not forgive. I advise each of you to stop using everything related to Russia. From the “Irony of Fate” to books, Dud and napkins “always”. Next week in “Rendezvous” I will show you clearly why”, the journalist summed up.
On March 28 Irpin was liberated from rashists, the curfew was intensified.
