The People of Irpin Have Collected Almost 300 Books in Ukrainian for the Polish Sister-City
The people of Irpin have collected almost 300 books in Ukrainian for the Polish sister city of Pisz in just two days. This was announced by the head of the Department of Culture, Nationalities and Religions of the Irpin City Council Yevhenia Antonyuk on her Facebook page.
“280 books have been collected for the sister city of Pisz in Poland. Today they will go to the library of this city! Thank you everyone! We will not be defeated by any enemy!”, she wrote.
Yevhenia Antonyuk thanked the following publishing houses for their help: Perun, Samit-Kniga and Knigo-Land chain of stores.
It will be recalled that the Polish city of Pisz has hosted more than 300 Ukrainians, including 80 residents of our community.
