Irina Venediktova: Russian Executioner Who Tortured Gostomel Residents Was Identified
A Russian executioner who tortured the residents of Gostomel was identified. He was Andriy Khitrov, a serviceman of the combined unit of the Rosguard in the Kemerovo region of the Russian Federation. This was announced by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova on her Facebook page.
She noted that prosecutors of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office together with the Security Service of Ukraine had gathered evidence that he and other Russian servicemen “nightmared” the population with illegal searches in occupied Gostomel in March 2022. In search of Ukrainian defenders and law enforcement officers, the invaders knocked out windows and doors.
“During one of the searches, the occupiers intimidated civilians with weapons. The bullying went so far as to force people to undress completely. After that, people were kept in the basement. Prisoners were beaten with butts on the ribs and legs, threatened with weapons and imitated executions. Non-humans killed them with hunger and thirst”, said Venediktova.
Andriy Khitrov has reportedly been reported on suspicion of ill-treatment of civilians in violation of the laws or customs of war.
It will be recalled that the murder of the family of the head of the village of Motyzhyn was recently revealed – 5 servicemen of the Russian Federation and 3 mercenaries of the Wagner police station were identified.
