The Italian Cesvi Foundation Will Allocate 500,000 Euros for the Reconstruction of Bucha and Help Irpin

The Italian humanitarian organization Cesvi is allocating the first half a million euros for the restoration of the Ukrainian Bucha and plans to raise more through charitable contributions. This is stated in a press release from one of the largest Italian humanitarian organizations Cesvi.

The fund is allocating the first 500,000 euros for the rehabilitation of communal infrastructure and social facilities in Bucha. At the same time, the amount for the restoration of Bucha will be increased due to charitable contributions raised by the fund from private and public donors, including the municipality of Bergamo, where it is headquartered.

Among the priority areas of Bucha’s reconstruction are reconstruction and restoration of destroyed public and communal infrastructure, reconstruction of housing, re-equipment of special equipment parks (ambulances, fire engines, public transport).

“The city of Bergamo came up with a proposal to establish sister relations with the city of Bucha. It will be a long-term close cooperation that will involve the development of the city – in the communal and social spheres”, said Cesvi Foundation General Manager Piercilvio Fagiano. He added that the fund is ready to “bring Italian solidarity to the world” also here, in Bucha and Irpin.

It is noted that since the beginning of the war, the Cesvi Foundation has allocated 1.5 million euros for humanitarian aid. The foundation was founded in Bergamo in 1985 and is currently present in 23 countries.
