The Mayor of Irpin Met with the Ukrainian Diaspora of the United States
The mayor of Irpin met with the Ukrainian diaspora in the United States. This was announced by Irpin Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn in his Telegram.
“Having a trip to the United States to meet and negotiate the reconstruction of Irpin with local authorities and entrepreneurs, together with the chairman of the Irpin Investment Council Volodymyr Karplyuk we met with the Ukrainian diaspora”, said the mayor.
He said that “in the city of Houston, together with the Consul General of Ukraine Vitaliy Tarasyuk and the People’s Deputies of Ukraine Serhiy Ionushas and Maryan Zablotsky, we met with the community of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and its rector Father Mykola Dovzhuk”.
“We talked about all the horror that the Irpin residents experienced during the Russian attack on our city, about the brutal crimes of the occupiers, about the evacuation and, of course, about the large-scale destruction that the ‘liberators’ brought us. We were asked to spread information about Irpin among Americans and to tell everyone that we desperately need help in rebuilding schools, kindergartens, the House of Culture and Housing of Irpin. Ahead is a serious program of international meetings. The goal is the same – we ask the world to help rebuild the destroyed Irpin”, the mayor concluded.
