The Krakow Council Adopted a Resolution “Irpin”: Details

Today, the Krakow Council adopted a resolution “Irpin”. This was announced by Irpin Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn in the Telegram (video).

“Irpin has become a symbol of large-scale brutal destruction of Ukrainian cities by Russia. Today, the Council of Krakow, the second largest city in Poland, adopted a resolution “IRPIN”, – said the mayor.

As it became known, with the resolution “Irpin” deputies appeal to the European Parliament, the European Commission, as well as the Sejm and the Senate of Poland and ask these institutions:

• To begin preparations for the reconstruction of Ukraine and the introduction of the so-called “Ukrainian Marshall Plan”;
• To support Ukraine’s accession to the EU and NATO.

“The resolution emphasizes that the occupiers destroyed Irpin by almost 80% and today the participation of Poland and other European countries is a moral obligation. These should be systematic, not one-off actions, similar to the Marshall Plan that helped rebuild Europe after World War II. I sincerely thank my Polish colleagues for such strong support! I believe that with such friends of Ukraine, Kyiv region and, of course, Irpin community will be rebuilt very soon after our victory”, the statement reads.
