Rashists Sat in My Kitchen, Drank Out of My Porcelain and Wondered Why the Forest Was on the Map, But in Fact There Was a Residential Complex: Irpin Woman About the Life in Occupation

Natalia, a resident of Irpin, remembers life in the siege of the occupiers, who visited her residential complex “Fortuna-2” on March 5. The woman says that when she saw them in her kitchen she was very scared, but she was able to get together and start talking to them.

“Our complex was bombed and I ran to a neighbor, and forgot to close the apartment door due to anxiety. I don’t remember how long I stayed with her, but when things calmed down more or less, I returned home and saw Russian soldiers in my kitchen. They sat at the table and drank out of my porcelain glasses. How they found them – I do not understand. I was scared, they were with machine guns, but I was able to gather myself and talk to them. It turned out very strictly and angrily. So much so that the rashists apologized and washed their glasses”, says Natalia.

When the woman calmed down a bit, she began to ask what they were doing in Ukraine and why they were breaking into someone else’s house. They started telling me some of the very famous phrases about the “liberation operation” and that they do not want to harm people. And that they are generally shocked that people live here, because on their maps this part of Irpin is a forest and they had to be planted in the forest, and they were planted in residential complexes. They even angrily poked that card in my face”, said a resident of Irpin.

According to the woman, she and those who remained in the house were not bothered, but rashists continued to live in the houses where people left.

We will remind, Irpin was released from occupiers on March 28. From March 5 until the day of liberation, the occupiers were constantly in the “Fortuna-2” residential complex and neighboring complexes. They either came there on their infantry fighting vehicles, or they were disembarked from planes.

Now Irpin is returning to normal life. The streets are being cleaned, water and electricity are being restored, and even the connection between the city and Kyiv has been restored due to a newly built temporary crossing.
