He Hid It in the Basement: Yaroslav Amosov Saved His Championship Belt During the Occupation of Irpin (video)

Ukrainian Bellator welterweight champion Yaroslav Amosov (26-0) showed the MMA trophy, which survived the bombing and shelling of Irpin. The athlete on the second month of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine refused to defend the title in order to protect his native Irpin in the ranks of the territorial defense.

In the video, the Irpin resident went down to the basement, where he pulled out a package with a Bellator belt.

According to the soldier of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, his military trophy was hidden by his mother in advance. “A belt with a great history! Now I definitely will not give it away. My mother hid it securely, and it survived the bombing”, Yaroslav wrote.

It will be recalled that on March 28, Irpin was liberated from the occupiers. Due to this, an intensified curfew was imposed in Irpin.
