A Collection of Ukrainian Books Was Announced in Irpin to be Handed Over to the Polish City of Pisz

In Irpin, a collection of books in Ukrainian was announced to be delivered to the city of Pisz in Poland. This was announced by the head of the Department of Culture, Nationalities and Religions of the Irpin City Council Yevhenia Antonyuk on her Facebook page.

“Friends! Our sister city of Pisz in Poland has hosted more than 300 Ukrainians, including 80 residents of our community. Unfortunately, there are no books in Ukrainian in the library of this city. I initiated the collection of books for this library and our favorite Irpin city public library named after Maxim Rylsky, Perun Publishing House, Summit Book Publishing House gladly responded to it. However, each of you will also be able to take part in this initiative and hand over books to our compatriots”, said Yevhenia Antonyuk.

She noted that we need books published exclusively in Ukrainian, especially children’s literature.

As it became known, on May 27 books can be brought from 10.00 to 14.00 in the Irpin city public library on street Shevchenka, 3a.

“These books will go to Pisz on Saturday”, Antonyuk summed up.
