Volodymyr Karplyuk: The Enemy Was Stopped at the Cost of Human Losses and the Complete Destruction of the City

The destroyed bridge from Irpin became a symbol of how the territorial defense of Irpin together with the Armed Forces of Ukraine withstood and did not allow the occupiers to enter Kyiv. This was announced by the chairman of the Investment Council of Irpin Volodymyr Karplyuk in Telegram.

He noted that the enemy was stopped at the cost of human losses and almost complete destruction of the city.

On Monday, the legendary bridge, under which thousands of people were evacuated, was visited by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

“I appeal to the leadership of the state and international partners of Ukraine to help restore the infrastructure of Irpin and help with equipment to clear the effects of the destruction in Irpin and rebuild the city. I sincerely believe in help, the city is almost destroyed, but people will return to it soon”, Kaplyuk wrote.
