The Director of the James Bond Films Cary Fukunaga Organized a Charity for Irpin

The director of the latest James Bond film, Cary Fukunaga, who visited Ukraine on March 31, helped organize the delivery of humanitarian aid to Irpin. This was told to our editorial office by employees of the State Tax University, who set up a Humanitarian Hub at the university and where the famous director helped organize the delivery of food kits for residents.

“Representatives of “Nasha Ryaba”, who brought us chicken, told the director of Bond about our Irpin and he decided to help our city. He passed on our contacts to his friend Jose Andres, who founded the World Central Kitchen, and for the second time they are sending us humanitarian aid” the university said.

According to our interlocutor, each time there are more than 550 food packages, the content of one package is enough for a person for the whole week. “The food set includes: loaf of bread, flour, sugar, potatoes, beets, onions, carrots, canned beans, stew, canned food, tea, coffee, pasta and spaghetti, as well as sweets and fruits. This will be enough for one person for a week, or even more”, – said the staff of the Humanitarian Hub of the University.

Note that Jose Andres is an American-Spanish chef who has been providing food for people affected by natural disasters and wars for more than ten years. To do this, he founded the World Central Kitchen, which brings together chefs from around the world who want to help.

It was he who published the story that Cary Fukunaga came to Ukraine, and then published a joint photo.

Prior to his visit to Ukraine, the director has already published several photos and videos about what is happening in Ukraine. He shared a video with columns of Russian equipment in Ukraine, and also showed how unarmed residents of Kryukivka, Chernihiv region, stopped Russian tanks.

He recently visited the Dnipro, where he attended an evening for British and Spanish journalists organized by Peremoga volunteers. Attendees were treated to dumplings according to Poltava recipe and borscht.

As you know, Cary Fukunaga directed “Sin Nombre”, “Jane Eyre”, “Beasts of No Nation”, “No Time to Die”. Also, very popular was the series “True Detective”, the first season of which he directed. He also wrote the script for the first part of the horror film “It”.

Earlier we told how the State Tax University defended itself during the occupation. Since the beginning of the war, the university has become a haven for about 150 people, including not only university staff and their families, but also civilians in Irpin.

It will be recalled that on March 28, Irpin was liberated from the occupation of the rashists, and now the city is returning to normal life, although after the arrival of the Russian world, it was destroyed by 71%.
